By 2020, the United States will in the first place for oil

The world leader in oil and gas production forecast U.S.

First in the world in the production of oil by the year 2020 will bring the U.S. boom in shale development, allowing them to beat the current leaders - Russia and Saudi Arabia, predicts the International Energy Agency (IEA) in its annual report, World Energy Outlook. "Around the year 2020 the United States, are expected to become the world's largest oil producer. As a result, U.S. oil imports (currently provides 20% of its needs) will continue to decline, and somewhere in the 2030 North America will become a net exporter of oil, "- said the IEA.

By 2015, the United States will take the first place of gas, ahead of Russia. According to analysts of the agency, by 2035, America will be able to implement fully its energy supply by increasing oil production. Own production of raw materials in the U.S. at the end of this year will rise to 6.5 million barrels a day - primarily due to production of shale oil. Country consumes 18.7 million barrels of oil per day. Citibank predicts that oil production in the U.S. in 2020 could reach 13-14 million barrels per day.
